Sacred Heart of Jesus - Photo by Monica

It’s Great To Be Alive! Thanking Jesus for his wonderful feast day! The Sacred Heart of Jesus. Truly it’s great to be Catholic and be able to celebrate all aspects of Jesus’ life. This photo is from a picture I bargained for from a Flea Market we had in town a few years ago. Funny story, I kept walking past it but the price was too expensive. Throughout the day I’d come back longing to have him. Finally, I got up my nerve and asked him if he’d settle for an inexpensive sum? You know what transpired? I got that beautiful old-fashioned Jesus framed picture for FREE! You can’t out due Jesus in generosity!

Just as I treasure this picture, here’s golden promises! The 12 promises of Jesus if we honor his Sacred Heart given to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque:

  • 1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life.
  • 2. I will give peace in their families.
  • 3. I will console them in all their troubles.
  • 4. They shall find in My Heart an assured refuge during life and especially at the hour of death.
  • 5. I will pour abundant blessings on all their undertakings.
  • 6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
  • 7. Tepid souls shall become fervent.
  • 8. Fervent souls shall speedily rise to great perfection.
  • 9. I will bless the homes in which the image of My Sacred Heart shall be exposed and honored.
  • 10. I will give to priests the power to touch the most hardened hearts.
  • 11. Those who propagate this devotion shall have their name written in My Heart, and it shall never be effaced.
  • 12. I promise thee in the excess of the mercy of My Heart, that its all-powerful Love will grant to all those who shall receive Communion on the First Friday of Nine consecutive months the grace of final repentance; they shall not die under My displeasure, nor without receiving the Sacraments; My Heart shall be their assured refuge at that last hour.

All of these promises come from Catholic Family News and the Daily Catholic article. You can get in-depth meditations for FREE at their website.

Below is a great montage of Sacred Heart of Jesus prayer cards along with the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Pray along and Enjoy!

This act is required by the very object of the devotion, since devotion to the love of Jesus for us should be pre-eminently a devotion of love for Jesus . It is characterized by a reciprocation of love ; its aim is to love Jesus who has so loved us, to return love for love . Since, moreover, the love of Jesus manifests itself to the devout soul as a love despised and outraged, especially in the Eucharist , the love expressed in the devotion naturally assumes a character of reparation , and hence the importance of acts of atonement , the Communion of reparation , and compassion for Jesus suffering. But no special act , no practice whatever, can exhaust the riches of the devotion to the Sacred Heart. The love which is its soul embraces all and, the better one understands it, the more firmly is he convinced that nothing can vie with it for making Jesus live in us and for bringing him who lives by it to love God , in union with Jesus , with all his heart, all his soul , all his strength.
